Invisalign® uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to move your teeth gradually into their final position. Each aligner is worn for one or two weeks, then swapped for the next in the sequence - so progress happens steadily and predictably across the whole course of treatment.
Because the aligners are removable, you can take them out for meals and special occasions, and brushing and flossing carry on exactly as normal. Combined with the discreet, near-invisible look, that flexibility is what makes Invisalign® such a popular option for adults and teens with busy lives.
Your aligners are designed to be worn 20 to 22 hours a day - in essence, all the time other than meals, drinks (other than water) and your usual brushing routine. The more consistently you wear them, the more closely your treatment will track to the plan we mapped out at the start.
Most patients find their aligners feel normal within a few days of starting each new set. There's often a brief moment of tightness when you swap trays, but it settles quickly - and because there are no wires to break or brackets to come loose, between-visit issues are far less common than with fixed braces.

Your consultation starts with a 3D intra-oral scan - no impression trays, no gagging. We map your teeth into Invisalign's ClinCheck software, plan each movement, and walk you through a preview of your final smile before you decide whether to commit.
Your aligners are then manufactured to that exact plan and delivered ready to start. We see you every six to ten weeks to check that progress is tracking as expected, hand over the next batch of trays, and answer any questions - quick, efficient appointments that fit easily around work or school.
When you reach the last tray we move you straight onto a retainer the same day. Your ClinCheck file stays on record, so if anything ever shifts later we can produce a refinement set without starting over.
